DC Comics Presents #59
July 1983
Keith Giffen - story and breakdowns, Paul Levitz - additional dialogue, Kurt Schaffenberger - finishes, Ben Oda - letterer, Carl Gafford - colorist, Julius Schwartz - editor

Ambush Bug, who is beginning to display a very unhealthy fixation on Superman, follows along as Superman time-travels to the 30th Century, home of the Legion of Super Heroes. Superman, who has other business to attend to, deposits the Bug in the hands of the Legion of Substitute Heroes, a group of goof-ups with questionable super-powers. The Bug proves to be too much to handle, and Superman must return to capture him.

BUG FACT: Since Superman's secret identity is publicly known in the 30th Century, Superman is very concerned that Ambush Bug will find this out and cause trouble back home. Ambush Bug does come very close - when he stumbles into the Superman Museum - but his antics keep him from paying attention. The Bug does eventually deduce Superman's Clark Kent identity in Action Comics #560.
